Who We Are…

St Nicholas’ and St Stephen’s are local Anglican churches with a vision to worship God and love and serve the people of Ingrave and Herongate.

We also carry responsibilities with The Churches Conservation Trust for All Saints East Horndon.  A beautiful, redundant Tudor church on the south end of our parish by the A127.

Our worship style attempts to be formal enough to honour God with space and awe for His presence and informal enough to be welcoming and accessible.

Our services are mainly sacramental with Holy Communion as the central act of worship and a combination or organ, keyboard and on screen music.

We love all God's people by passionately teaching the one, holy, catholic and apostolic church.  We look to the whole of God’s church to interpret the modernising calls upon the church in the 21st century.

Our usual worship pattern is

Sunday

St Nicholas’, 9:30am - 10:30am

St Stephen’s, 11am-12:30pm

Wed

St Nicholas, 10am - 10:30am

Thu

St Stephen’s, 11am - 11:30am

Our Vision Statement

We are aiming to be a church that

Worships - God in the power of the Holy Spirit, under the authority of His word, in communion with the whole church of God.

Equips - God’s people to prayerful disciples of Jesus, following him daily and being his witnesses.

Serves - God by using our gifts and follows Jesus’ example.

Trusts - God has called us to be His church at this time according to His will and purposes.
